After asking for a show of hands of teams that could play on Rugby Sevens weekend, and not seeing any, we have moved the schedule for that weekend and modified the final three weeks in the regular season to get the remaining games in.  If you haven’t gotten yourself acquainted with the Outback boys yet, you’ll have an opportunity the last three weeks of the regular season as they get in 9 games to close things out.  Good thing those boys are also the youngest squad in the league.  The rest of the teams have a more normal end to the season.

The excom also came to a quick and painless decision to have a 4 week playoff schedule.  I expect the game to game details of the schedule will be ironed out over a few brews on Saturday.  We will post the schedule early next week so your team can strategize about the potential first round matchups. 

If any of you are tight with the sun gods, please say a few words on behalf of the HKSPSA.  There are only a few spots in the schedule for potential make up games and if we exceed those, games with playoff ranking implications will take priority and the others that can’t make it into the schedule will be cancelled.  Although we don't normally run into this problem, we did have to whack one game last season on the final regular season weekend.  Hopefully, this isn’t needed, but I just want to let everyone know ahead of time.
