It was a great opening month here at the HKSPSA. We kicked off the season on the 9th with eight games, and competed two more full days of league games on the 16th and 23rd. The weather was pouring at times, blistering hot at others, but we completed all 24 scheduled matchups! September 30th was a week off due to the China Day holiday but a handful of us made it out to the field for some casual pickup games and BP.

As we turn the calendar over to October, Shore and Brew House are yet to lose a game at 6-0. Defending champs Milbank are off to rough start at 0-6, and the other five squads fall somewhere in between. But with 22 games left for every team, anything could happen!

We resurrected the Player of the Week award, selected by player voting, and the first three winners have all been members of last year's runners-up, The Big Bite. Congratulations to Brendan Tracey, Ryan Sutherland and Andrew Wallis on the honors--we'll get your photos posted soon.

Thanks to all sponsors and league members for your continued support of the HKSPSA in our 42nd season. Keep an eye on the calendar for upcoming events, particularly the 8th Annual Chad Boyd Tournament on October 28th. Batter up!
