It's Horse Nuts vs. Terranova.....

After weeks of fighting over the issue of a batter’s box Ronnie “Horse Nuts” Moss and Mat “Tap Out” Terranova have decided to settle their differences in The Octagon.  This marks the second big fight of the year following the epic Tmac vs. Butterass brawl, which of course ended with Tmac taking a line drive right on the noggin!!

Initially Tap Out and Horse Nuts were good friends coming out of the famed Jakarta Tournament of May 2007.  “I see a lot of potential in this youngster.  You can almost say I see a lot of him in me, if that’s at all possible” (it sure is!!).  However things quickly turned sour as Horse Nuts, always a stickler for obeying boundaries, was irate the following September when Tap Out forgot to close the bathroom stall at King’s Park forcing him to witness one most unseemly sights imaginable.  This incident set off a torrent of bad blood between the two.

In February things finally came to a head when Tap Out accidentally stepped on a crack and in the same day asked “is Ronnie throwing a no-hitter?” in the middle of the Brew House/Skitz game (Moss did, in fact, have a no-hitter going into the bottom of the fifth which was promptly broken up a by a Winston Churchill dribbler to the mound following Tap Out’s errant statement).  The following week Tap Out stepped out of the batter’s box, and as they say, the rest is history!

“I don’t care if we do it inside the batter’s box or the chained confines of the octagon I’m going to throw his ass outside either one of them!  This guy needs to learn that not all boundaries are etched in stone and the only way to do that is to physically kick his ass out of one” Said an irate Tap Out.

In response, the equally irascible Horse Nuts said “Who is this guy?  He needs to learn the proper respect of rules and what it means to be a ball player at King’s Park.  He has no idea about the history of what formed this league!!  There are by laws and those laws were put in place by people far smarter than he could ever dream of being!!  You think I frickin’ care about the batter’s box?? NO!!  Did I ever say that this was solely about the batter’s box!!  NO!!  It’s about respect for the game and the people that have been here FOREVER!!  It’s not about him and his desire to be the Bulldog’s team spokesman!!  Does he have any idea who Addy Ignatius is??  NO!!  Frank Santigata??  NO!! Who made him the Bulldog’s team spokesman because I’ve known guys that can do a far better job than him for speaking for that franchise!!  Mike Gleyze would be turning over in his grave down in Manila if he was dead!!  And don’t even get me started about why he continues to step out of the batter’s box!!  The batter’s box is the ultimate sign of respect between a pitcher and the hitter.  Both pitcher and hitter respect the boundaries that were put in place in THE BY LAWS of this league.  It is not for some Johnny came lately LOUD MOUTH to interpret his own meaning of OUR rules!!  I can’t wait to get in the batter’s box, octagon or whatever boundaries you decide to put up!!!”

Online tickets sold out within 15 minutes of the fight’s announcement.  You can order pay per view for $49.99.  Promoter Dave Mann is expecting this to be one of the largest fight tickets ever “it’s Tap Out vs. Horse Nuts, youth vs. wisdom, XL vs. XS what more can you ask for?” Let’s get ready to rummmmmmmmmble!!!!
